Grain Farmers of Ontario Announces Vice President

GUELPH, ON (April 26, 2017) – Grain Farmers of Ontario is pleased to announce that Crosby Devitt will be joining the organization as Vice President.

Devitt comes to Grain Farmers of Ontario from the position of Executive Director of the Canadian Seed Trade Association. Prior to this position, he held the roles of Vice President of Strategic Development and Research Manager at Grain Farmers of Ontario.

“We are happy to have Crosby return to Grain Farmers of Ontario,” says Barry Senft, CEO of Grain Farmers of Ontario. “He has been a great asset to the organization in his past roles and we are certain that he will bring the same expertise and passion to this new position.”

Following recent organizational restructuring, the sole Vice President will oversee the research, market development, communications, and wheat marketing departments of the organization.

Grain Farmers of Ontario is the province’s largest commodity organization, representing Ontario’s 28,000 barley, corn, oat, soybean and wheat farmers. The crops they grow cover 6 million acres of farm land across the province, generate over $2.5 billion in farm gate receipts, result in over $9 billion in economic output and are responsible for over 40,000 jobs in the province.
