Grain Farmers of Ontario Call for Proposals of Corn, Soybean and Wheat Research
The Grain Farmers of Ontario (GFO) welcomes the submission of proposals for research conducted in corn, soybean or wheat for funding in 2012. GFO targets research and innovation to opportunities that will enhance our farmer members’ returns. Emphasis this year is being placed on research in the priority areas of agronomy and production, as well as insect and disease. Exceptional proposals in other areas will also be considered. Researchers seeking funding in 2012 must submit proposals by the deadline of Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 5:00 pm. All proposals will be reviewed by the GFO Research Committee and the GFO Board of Directors. It is expected that researchers will be notified of the GFO’s funding decisions in mid-February, 2012. Please submit research proposals by email to: awcoleman@gfo.ca. Please follow the ‘2012 Guideline for Research Proposals’ provided. Please also consider the enclosed document ‘Grain Farmers of Ontario 2012 Research Priorities’ to ensure that your proposal is aligned with the GFO’s priority areas of research. GFO strongly encourages partnerships amongst research institutions and with other funding agencies. Click to download the 2012 Research Priorities and the 2012 Proposal Guidelines.
